OVA/Drama/Creepy/Surreal Titles

OVA: (Type) OVA = Original Video Animation. These are the direct-to-video anime titles done in Japan. Often, OVAs can start a franchise (Tenchi Muyou! Ryououki), start a TV series (Mahou Tsukai Tai!), be a sequel to a TV series (Love Hina Again), or be a stand-alone title (Aa! Megami-sama! OVA). Sometimes, the OAVs are named the same as the TV series and thus will sometimes have the term OVA listed after the title's name to separate it.

Drama: (Genre) Titles that show a state, situation, or series of events involving interesting or intense conflict of forces. See also: "Action Drama".

Creepy: (Style) Self-explanatory -- if the title gives you the creeps, it is creepy. :-)

Surreal: (Style) Anime that have the "intense irrational reality of a dream" qualify for this category.

Key: The Metal Idol	Rent	Tokiko Mima is a 17-year old high school girl who claims to be an android build by her grandfather, the scientist Dr. Mima. One day, Dr. Mima is found to be dying by Tokiko. As a final request, Tokiko’s grandfather asks for her to travel to Tokyo and make over 30,000 friends so that she could become human. As Tokiko wanders Tokyo to seek friends, she finds herself being targeted by the robotics company, Ajo Heavy Industries, as the company takes interest in the mysterious abilities that Tokiko has which are mysteriously wrecking their latest batch of military robots being tested.
