OVA: (
Type) OVA = Original Video Animation. These are the direct-to-video anime titles done in Japan. Often, OVAs can start a franchise (
Tenchi Muyou! Ryououki), start a TV series (
Mahou Tsukai Tai!), be a sequel to a TV series (
Love Hina Again), or be a stand-alone title (
Aa! Megami-sama! OVA). Sometimes, the OAVs are named the same as the TV series and thus will sometimes have the term OVA listed after the title's name to separate it.
Mahou Shoujo: (
Characters) (
↗mahou ↗shoujo = "magic girl") These are titles which feature young girls who are given magical powers by a powerful entity or come from a realm where magic is the norm.
Ecchi: (
Objectionable Content) (
↗ecchi (
エッチ) = "indecent", "lewd", "sexy", "lascivious", or "naughty") These are non-pornographic anime titles which have a high amount of fanservice, nudity, or other sexual content. See also:

For those of you who watched School Days (TV), this OVA is a take off. The star is Kokoro-chan the little sister of Kotonoha Katsura, one of the main characters. During a summer break, Kokoro lands a part time job at Radish, a restaurant that Sekai works for. Well it turns out the Radish girls are really the Anti-Science squad who fights the evil Dr S and Kokoro is actually an agent of magic hiding in the Anti-Science squad. Confusing eh?
