Modern/TV/Fighting/High School Titles

Self-explanatory. Series who's primary focus is fighting would fit into this segment. Yu Yu Hakusho and Ranma 1/2 are classified as fighting series. But if you can, then please select a more specific keyword instead, such as "Gun-Action" or "Swordplay"; maybe some day we'll completely split up this category into some more terms of this sort.

Self-explanatory. High school (grades 10-12) should play a major role in the title. Azumanga Daioh is an excellent example of this category. A typical High school series will include a Sports Festival, a Cultural Festival, and a school Trip.

In the Kanto Plain of Japan, high schools in the area are little more than fronts for what appear to be nothing more than gangs who all wear a strange earring. Within these schools, students fight to be the top-rated fighters in order to represent their school at the very unofficial Great Fighter's Tournament. However, what appears to be nothing more than thugs fighting street battles is in reality ancient Chinese history coming back to replay itself in modern times with students having names of various warriors from that time.

Mai-HiME
Buy Tokiha Mai and her frail younger brother Takumi receive a scholarship on the prestigious Fuuka Gakuen. On the ferry to the school, they find a girl floating in the water, holding a huge black sword. After rescuing her, the boat is attacked by another girl with a dog/artillery mecha thing. She warns Mai not to go to the school and to hand over the girl they found. After a big fight (sinking the ferry) Mai, the girl and her sword suddenly appear at Fuuka academy. It might have something to do with the red birth mark both girls seem to have. Is Mai a HiME? (HiME stands for "Highly-advanced Materializing Equipment")

Sakigake! Cromartie Koukou
Buy Sixteen year old Kamiyama Takashi thought he was lucky to become enrolled at Cromartie High School, until he discovered that it is in fact an "olympic for delinquents". Though he can only claim to have done one seriously bad thing in his life (read the manga!), the very sight of a student who dares to come to school without behaving as a typical delinquent leads the others to jump to the conclusion that he must in fact be the toughest punk ever. After his first day at Cromartie High, meeting the wide variety of "school badasses", Takashi can only say "This school has too many weird things. I won't be surprised to see anything else".
