Story/Location) A story in which the main character is confronted with issues related to their transition from adolescence (innocence) to adulthood (responsibility). Most typically found in a modern romance story in which the main character has to confront his/her feelings over their (first) love and/or deciding about the path in life (setting goals, attending college, getting a job etc.).

Tatsuya and Kazuya are identical twins yet their personallities are very different. They have grown together with girl from their neighbor, Asakura Minami, and since they are of same age and, when very young, had tendency to break things, their parents built them a house in place of where the wall was. Kazuya has grown up as model student and baseball pitcher and is very fond of Minami who acts as comrade to him and like a mother to Tatsuya, a classic Terius figure.
