Rent | One quiet autumn day, the Shinonome high school students are busy preparing for their school festival. Fujisawa-sensei, a Rock Climbing fanatic, is inspecting the school grounds; the business savvy Nanami is selling box lunches; Jinnai the president of the student council is caught up in an unscrupulous scandal; and finally Makoto is completely immersed in inventing a device about which even he hasn't got a clue. This incident occurs when this peaceful day is almost over. Jennai, who's insulted Makoto, has caused his invention to operate recklessly. The machine roars, and throws Makoto and the others into another world. What will Makoto, Jenni, Fujisawa-sensei (the rock climbing history teacher) and Nanami destinies be in this magnificent new world? |

Akito hides in a shelter that is attacked by a group of Jovian bug robots. A big flash of light appears. 1 Year later, Akito is working on Earth as a cook who has 'problems' with shell shock (War Flashback). On his way home, he bumps into a girl he used to know on Mars (Yurika). He chases after her demanding an explanation as she is the only other person from Mars that he has seen alive. (Something happened in that flash). The Jovians attack, but this time instead of running away, he gets into a giant robot (Aestivalis) and proceeds destroy them. He finally finds Yurika and yells at her before he finds out she is the Captain of the Nadesico, a private battleship from the Nergal corporation and Akito's BOSS. |

300 years ago a group terraformers in the Earth spaceship "Mesopotamia" had a problem and crash on the planet Terra II. Only seven survive, all male. Bummer! Over the next 300 years the survivors procreate through cloning and build 7 city-states, though they cannot clone females. Thus, in an homage to the human female, they build humanoid labor units called marionettes. |
