Akuma, born from dead souls forcefully recalled to the living world, by their grieving loved ones, are turned into the weapons of the Millennium Earl, hence 'akuma'. Since childhood, Allen Walker has been cursed with an anti-Akuma weapon on his left arm and an eye that sees the former soul of the Akuma. He is also one of the few who contain "Innocence", a substance that allows him to kill Akuma and fight the Earl. A young girl named Rahzel is booted out of her house one day by her father with the instructions to `see the world.` And so her journey begins, However, she won`t be doing it alone ... for she befriends a stoic young man named Alzeido seeking revenge for his father`s murder. Alzeido and Rahzel are like oil and water ... but even still, they feel strangely drawn to one another. As summer break arrives for the students, Jun Sakurada is busily studying on his own in the library, making up for time lost while he had confined himself to his home. Meanwhile, his Rozen Maiden doll, Shinku, has been having troubling dreams of late. The pain and sadness of defeating Suigintou was overwhelming, despite the inevitable battle they waged. After waking suddenly from a nightmare, she finds Suigintou's companion spirit wandering; upon giving chase, she discovers that the seventh Doll-- Barasuishou-- has awakened. She now realizes that Suigintou's fate may very well befall the other Dolls, for the appearance of the last Doll signals the beginning of the end of the Alice Games. |

Kai and Gerda are very dear friends who have been living together since young. However, one wintry day, the Snow Queen appears stirring up snow and wind, and a sliver of mirror gets lodged into Kai`s heart. Kai drives Gerda away in tears and the Snow Queen takes Kai away to her realm. The adults try to dissuade Gerda from pursuing Kai, saying that he is already dead.
