The seaside village of Narasakicho is special in a number of strange ways. Crowned by an eternal rainbow, the village is rumored to grant all of its residents a once-in-a-life-time magic ability called a 'gift'. When two hearts are in sync, the gift of an aspiring love will manifest itself in a wondrous and magical way. A student named Amaumi Haruhiko finds himself entangled in the village’s special magic in his 2nd year of high school. His new school year starts with his cute adoptive sister returning home, a morning misadventure with a broomriding witch and numerous encounters with other cute fellow students. |

Itou Makoto, a shy and unconfident teenager, has become very accepting at only stealing glances at a cute girl as they ride the same trolley each morning on their way to their high school - at least until Saionji Sekai, sitting next to him in the classroom, surprises him and chances to get a peek at a photo-snap of the beautiful Katsura Kotonoha on his cell-phone. To Makoto's surprise, Sekai offers to support him in his romance - and due to her commitment the three soon become close friends. Close enough that Makoto braves asking Katsura out on date. And she agrees. Later that day, Makoto finds a quiet moment to express his thanks for all support that Sekai has offered him, and makes clear his intent on finding away to reply her kindness. But he is totally unprepared and very surprised at the reward that Sekai has chosen: Sekai steals a long kiss from his lips, ended only by her breaking away to run for a commuter-tolley. Before Sekai boards the train, she turns and wishes Makoto well on his date. |

But she runs into all kinds of problems, most notably with the arrogant "princess" Kiriya Erika who's a rich family's daughter and undisputed head of the school council (and would have to give her the license to form a new club) and her bunch of friends, plus the "kendo girl" Kurogane Otome who's the discipline enforcer of the school council. And to her surprise Sunao meets her childhood friend Tsushima Leo at this school again who had been the only one to support her with her theater project at school ten years ago while at the same time nicknaming her "radish" (which has a side meaning of "bad actor")... but Sunao is a dedicated girl and will do whatever it takes to form her theater club, with Otome soon beginning to support her. And slowly but surely she earns the respect of those who considered her a mere theater freak at first... |
