Bored by both his fellow students and the lack of challenges at school, the middle-schooler Kiyomaro Takamine has become very sullen and withdrawn, not that his frequently cutting class is really affecting his grades. Takamine appears destined for a dark and troubling future, at least until his father sends a strange young boy his way. The sudden arrival of Gash’s throws Takamine’s life into chaos! He surprised to learn that by holding Gash's magical red book, he can prompt Gash to spout bolts of lighting - which destroy anything in their path (including bedroom walls!)
