On the planet Aqua lies the watery city of Neo Venezia, a tourist hub in which people travel around in gondolas. Professional gondoliers known as Undines are well-revered as they act as tour guides for the people. Akari Mizunashi is a gondolier in training and also an employee of Aria Company. She gets to meet all sorts of people as she takes them on the gondola rides, from friendly mentors to special individuals, all this admidst the beautiful scenic backdrop of the entire city. |

Akuma, born from dead souls forcefully recalled to the living world, by their grieving loved ones, are turned into the weapons of the Millennium Earl, hence 'akuma'. Since childhood, Allen Walker has been cursed with an anti-Akuma weapon on his left arm and an eye that sees the former soul of the Akuma. He is also one of the few who contain "Innocence", a substance that allows him to kill Akuma and fight the Earl. A young boastful pirate named Cloud manages to open a large treasure chest just acquired on their last raid, and awakens a beautiful young girl. It is only later when treasure hunters and ninja raiders attack the pirate airship does he learn that her name is Edell Raid, one of the seven Shickikou Houju treasures, and that she is not human. In a desperate struggle, he is brave enough to fight a loosing battle to protect her from the raiders. Despite her strong dislike of humans, she is moved by his feelings and declares her acceptance of him. In taking his hand, she speaks of wanting to understand love, and transforms into a bizarre sword weapon attached to his arm. And so the story of adventure for Edell Raid and Cloud begins. |
