This is a sub-genre of the romantic-comedy genre. To qualify, you have to have a single, dateless, nice guy who suddenly finds himself surrounded by a bunch of hot girls/women who are interested or attracted to him to varying degrees. The male lead may also live with many of these girls.

300 years ago a group terraformers in the Earth spaceship "Mesopotamia" had a problem and crash on the planet Terra II. Only seven survive, all male. Bummer! Over the next 300 years the survivors procreate through cloning and build 7 city-states, though they cannot clone females. Thus, in an homage to the human female, they build humanoid labor units called marionettes.

Lime, Cherry, Bloodberry, and Otaru are back (minus their eating establishment) along with the very homosexual Hanagata and the Saber Dolls Luchs, Panther, and Tiger. As the first batch of female clones from Lorelei, attacks from outside sources attempting to steal the clones increase, causing Baiko and Tamasaburou to be even more vigilant. The changes going on cause the Saber Marionettes to reflect on their future place in the world. Meanwhile the Saber Dolls get a mysterious blank letter from their master Faust, the former ruler of Gartland. Taking their leave of their Saber Marionette friends, they go to join their master. When Lorelei is kidnapped, it appears that Faust has returned to his evil ways. But could there be more to this than it seems? And what about what is going on in Xian? Who is after Lorelei's clones and why? And will Otaru be forced to choose to spend his life with only one of his three precious Saber Marionettes?

Seina Yamada is an unlucky teen boy. In fact his luck is so bad that he can't score a break if he tried. While on his way to his friend's house (taking a shortcut which takes him past his senpai Tenchi Masaki's home), his bad luck causes his bike to break. As he comes to rest at the Masaki lake, something crashes into the lake and knocks him out. When he comes to, a beautiful blonde lady is over him, relieved he hasn't been harmed. Assuming Seina has been training with Tenchi, she gives him a pamphlet to join Galaxy Police and tells him her name is Amane Kaunaq. Seina's family thinks the pamplet is some sort of prize entry and force Seina to put his thumb print on it.
