Self-explanatory. Series who's primary focus is fighting would fit into this segment. Yu Yu Hakusho and Ranma 1/2 are classified as fighting series. Along with his best friend and greatest kendo rival, Yamato Takeshi, they are enjoying a happy school experience, at least until Takeshi and Takeru begin sharing the same dream of a priestess calling to them. In a strange confrontation in the schoolyard, Takeru and four girls are shrouded in a strange light that covers Takeshi, and then everything goes black. When they wake up, they find themselves separated from one another in a high school cracking and broken with age and covered in trees and vines. An attack by giant hostile insects, then a confrontation with strange floating creatures, with a sudden rescue by a troop of sword-carrying soldiers on horseback is proof that they are now in a very different world. |
