On the planet Aqua lies the watery city of Neo Venezia, a tourist hub in which people travel around in gondolas. Professional gondoliers known as Undines are well-revered as they act as tour guides for the people. Akari Mizunashi is a gondolier in training and also an employee of Aria Company. She gets to meet all sorts of people as she takes them on the gondola rides, from friendly mentors to special individuals, all this admidst the beautiful scenic backdrop of the entire city. |

A young boastful pirate named Cloud manages to open a large treasure chest just acquired on their last raid, and awakens a beautiful young girl. It is only later when treasure hunters and ninja raiders attack the pirate airship does he learn that her name is Edell Raid, one of the seven Shickikou Houju treasures, and that she is not human. In a desperate struggle, he is brave enough to fight a loosing battle to protect her from the raiders. Despite her strong dislike of humans, she is moved by his feelings and declares her acceptance of him. In taking his hand, she speaks of wanting to understand love, and transforms into a bizarre sword weapon attached to his arm. And so the story of adventure for Edell Raid and Cloud begins. |

As summer break arrives for the students, Jun Sakurada is busily studying on his own in the library, making up for time lost while he had confined himself to his home. Meanwhile, his Rozen Maiden doll, Shinku, has been having troubling dreams of late. The pain and sadness of defeating Suigintou was overwhelming, despite the inevitable battle they waged. A couple thousand years after humans left the Earth, technology advanced beyond our expectatio:, cyborgs that feel human emotions, wireless network everywhere in the universe, huge robots (gears), advanced weaponry, and warp gates. However, humans are also faced with a new enemy: Gnosis. The Gnosis are an alien life form. Little is known about them and their intentions, other than the fact that they are at war with the humans. The hardest part about fighting them is that most objects can't even touch them, so lazers, bullets, and bombs which pass right through them without doing any damage, are of little value.
