Karin Maaka is the middle child of a family of vampires who immigrated into Japan 200 years ago. Karin, although technically a vampire herself, is very different from the rest of her family. Instead of lacking blood, her body overproduces it. In order to get rid of the excess blood, once a month, she must give in to her urges and find someone to bite. Instead of drinking their blood, she gives them some of hers, leaving both her and her “victim” feeling refreshed and energetic. Despite these troubles, she still has to go to school and tries to hold down a part-time job. Everything is going reasonably well for Karin, until a transfer student, Kenta, joins her class. For some reason, her body reacts to him, and begins producing more blood than she can stand. He eventually finds out about her condition, which leads to quite a bit of difficulty. Now with a strange boy knowing her secret, Karin’s already complicated life becomes more chaotic. |

Bored by both his fellow students and the lack of challenges at school, the middle-schooler Kiyomaro Takamine has become very sullen and withdrawn, not that his frequently cutting class is really affecting his grades. He surprised to learn that by holding Gash's magical red book, he can prompt Gash to spout bolts of lighting - which destroy anything in their path (including bedroom walls!) But Gash is just one of a hundred contenders who have quietly sent from a Demon-world to Takamine’s world to seek out a partnership with a human book-keeper - in a battle of elimination against the other deamons to determine who the next ruler of the Demon-world will be! |

As summer break arrives for the students, Jun Sakurada is busily studying on his own in the library, making up for time lost while he had confined himself to his home. Meanwhile, his Rozen Maiden doll, Shinku, has been having troubling dreams of late. The pain and sadness of defeating Suigintou was overwhelming, despite the inevitable battle they waged. After waking suddenly from a nightmare, she finds Suigintou's companion spirit wandering; upon giving chase, she discovers that the seventh Doll-- Barasuishou-- has awakened. She now realizes that Suigintou's fate may very well befall the other Dolls, for the appearance of the last Doll signals the beginning of the end of the Alice Games. |
