2005/High School/Shounen/Fighting Titles

Self-explanatory. High school (grades 10-12) should play a major role in the title. Azumanga Daioh is an excellent example of this category. A typical High school series will include a Sports Festival, a Cultural Festival, and a school Trip.

Not a genre but actually a demographic. Refers to anime based on manga that was originally serialized in a magazine targeting boys of any age.

Self-explanatory. Series who's primary focus is fighting would fit into this segment. Yu Yu Hakusho and Ranma 1/2 are classified as fighting series. But if you can, then please select a more specific keyword instead, such as "Gun-Action" or "Swordplay"; maybe some day we'll completely split up this category into some more terms of this sort.

Mai HiME Buy See Mai-HiME

Mai-HiME
Buy Tokiha Mai and her frail younger brother Takumi receive a scholarship on the prestigious Fuuka Gakuen. On the ferry to the school, they find a girl floating in the water, holding a huge black sword. After rescuing her, the boat is attacked by another girl with a dog/artillery mecha thing. She warns Mai not to go to the school and to hand over the girl they found. After a big fight (sinking the ferry) Mai, the girl and her sword suddenly appear at Fuuka academy. It might have something to do with the red birth mark both girls seem to have. Is Mai a HiME? (HiME stands for "Highly-advanced Materializing Equipment")
